New Video - 秋の散歩道 - One Autumn Morning
In Japan, when we hear the chirping of the crickets and other insects, it represents the shift from the summer season to the fall season.
One autumn morning, I was walking my dog, and I heard the beautiful duet of the insects around me. Their continuous singing inspired me to write this piece.
The morning was also special because of the incredible beauty of the scarlet sunrise, and I was moved by the deep red sky.
Though I experienced all of these things on the same path that I take my dog for a walk on every day, it's amazing how we can find the most miraculous of moments in the most common of circumstances.
ある朝、犬を散歩させていたら、コオロギが綺麗に鳴いていました。それが、すごくリズミカルで交互に歌ってるようで、帰宅後すぐにこの曲を書き始めました。
この朝は少し特別で、いつも以上に美しい朝焼けを見ることができて、すごく幸せな気分になったのを覚えています。
見慣れた景色、とりとめもない日常の中に、特別な瞬間を見つけられると嬉しいですよね！
余談ですが、虫の音を聞くと秋の訪れを感じるのは日本人特有のことみたいです。アメリカにいる友達に聞いたのですが、「朝焼け」もぴったりくる単語がありませんでした。日本語には自然の中から情緒を見つける単語が多くて綺麗ですよね！
